The Assignment
Patrice Toye
SYNOPSIS:
During a youth camp in the summer of 1947, 16-year-old Ewout, traumatized by World War II, sets out to become the man he wants to be. He feels drawn to anyone who exudes power and tries to gain the favor of the group leaders. But his eagerness to be popular backfires: the group turns against him, and even the camp leader abandons him. He will have to go through a deep personal crisis to realize what truly matters. A film about leadership, peer pressure, emerging sexuality, true friendship, and self-acceptance.
